Dangers of Continued Sleep Loss

Most everyone has nights when they don’t get the sleep they should. But constant lack of sleep can be more dangerous than most realize. As one study points out, “there is an increasing amount of research pointing to sleep deprivation as a risk factor for neurologic diseases, namely stroke, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, headache, epilepsy, pain, and somnambulism (sleepwalking).”

A good night’s sleep is a requirement for good health, especially for children. Make it a priority.
